Gnist Yoga offers yoga experiences outside of the yoga studio to people of all ages and backgrounds.

In nature: On top of a mountain, on a beach, at a festival, and indoors; at work, at home, at a community space.

Gnist Yoga is about inspiration and 'gnist' refers to a spark or ignition, referring to Norwegian ‘livsgnist’, similar to ‘joie de vivre’in French or joy for life.

Through an inclusive and unpretentious approach to yoga, participants can enjoy classes, events and trips.

The focus is on increasing the connection to the breath, the body and to the present moment.
Participants are encouraged to listen to their body and to make choices suitable for their conditions and needs.

Classes range from dynamic vinyasa classes to yin yoga and restorative yoga. Classes are tailored to the needs and levels of the participants, and modifications are always offered.

Gnist Yoga offers:

·         Trauma sensitive yoga for people with trauma, including people with refugee backgrounds

·         Weekly vinyasa classes at Friluftshuset in Oslo (in Norwegian)

·         Sports-specific classes and retreats:  Yoga for surfers, skiers and others
